L.A. Fires 2024

Heartbroken for L.A.: Musicians Displaced by Devastating Fires

The ongoing wildfires in Los Angeles are unlike anything our city has seen in decades. As flames continue to consume homes, businesses, and dreams, L.A. Gold Records is deeply saddened by the devastation affecting so many in our community, including countless musicians who call this city home.

The fires, which erupted on January 7, 2025, have already claimed 27 lives and forced nearly 88,000 people to evacuate. Entire neighborhoods have been left in ashes, and the strong Santa Ana winds forecasted this week threaten to make an already dire situation even worse. Among the hardest hit are the artists and musicians who rely on this vibrant city not just for inspiration but for their livelihood.

Many musicians have been displaced, losing not only their homes but also their instruments, recording spaces, and creative sanctuaries. These losses are immeasurable, affecting both their personal lives and artistic journeys. Studios have been destroyed, performances canceled, and the music community left scrambling for safety and stability.

In light of this unprecedented crisis, L.A. Gold Records is suspending operations until further notice. This decision was not made lightly, but we believe it is necessary as we focus on supporting our artists, staff, and the greater community during this time.

We are committed to doing everything we can to help musicians impacted by this disaster. Our team is working to provide resources, connect displaced artists with emergency support, and ensure their voices are not lost in the chaos. Music has always been a source of healing and unity, and we want to ensure it continues to thrive despite these challenges.

Our hearts go out to everyone affected by these fires, and we remain hopeful that relief will come soon. L.A. Gold Records is more than a record label—we are part of this community. Together, we will rebuild and recover.

To all the musicians, fans, and families impacted, please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers. We encourage everyone to stay safe and to lend a helping hand if possible. Whether it’s through donations, volunteering, or simply sharing words of encouragement, every act of kindness matters in times like these.

L.A. Gold Records stands with Los Angeles. Let’s get through this together.
